In Vietnam, the development of AI technology has been identified by the Government as a key focus, with predictions that it will become the most groundbreaking technology in the near future. Since 2014, AI technology has been included in the list of prioritized high-tech investments. Numerous policies, mechanisms, and initiatives have been issued to optimally mobilize resources in finance, personnel, and investment for AI development and application. In this context, the Viettel Data and Artificial Intelligence Service Center (Viettel AI), a subsidiary of the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group, was established to lead research and development in the fields of AI, Robotics, and Digital Twin technology.

With a vision to become the leading AI unit in the Asia-Pacific region by 2030, Viettel AI aims to deliver groundbreaking solutions that creatively and thoroughly address pressing issues faced by businesses, the country, and society.
