Bao Viet Generals Insurance has always been a pioneer in the digital transformation of the insurance industry, with a primary focus on enhancing customer experience. One of the successful solutions implemented by Bao Viet is the application of AI in the automatic compensation for Personal Accident and Health insurance products. The solution applies optical character recognition (OCR) technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and utilizes decision support models (DMN – Decision Model and Notation) in the automatic compensation process. This can be seen as a significant step in Bao Viet’s digital transformation, simplifying the claims submission process, reducing claim processing time, and providing decision support to insurance claim handlers, thereby enhancing their productivity.
The solution allows for digitization, data extraction, calculation, and proposes solutions for insurance claim process based on the application of AI in computer vision, natural language processing, and predictive decision support models. The implementation has significantly increased the processing efficiency of claim settlements compared to traditional methods.
