Ms. Ta Thi Phuong Lan is the Deputy Director of the Tax Administration Department for small and medium enterprises, individual businesses, and business households. With almost 30 years of experience in the Tax sector, she is responsible for developing tax policies and managing taxes for household businesses and individual businesses.

Currently, Ms. Ta Thi Phuong Lan is also leading important initiatives in the tax sector, including managing taxes for e-commerce activities, implementing electronic invoices, and introducing solutions to track retail revenue through electronic invoices generated from cash registers and invoices.

Establishing a Database for Tax Management in E-Commerce Activities

ABSTRACT

In the context of the rapidly growing digital economy, with the increasing number of organizations and individuals participating, as well as the emergence of new forms of business, tax management for e-commerce and digital platform businesses has become a significant challenge. The tax authority considers building a database of e-commerce as a very important solution to improve and enhance tax management, prevent tax loss for e-commerce business forms, business on digital platforms. This presentation will discuss the necessity of establishing such a database, provide an overview of the current status of the tax sector’s e-commerce database, and propose potential solutions for the future.
